Our trip to Colorado, US with The Pilgrim Bandits

Well, what an interesting couple of weeks we had!

On Saturday 4th December we had to rush down to Bournemouth for a tweaking of Bens BRA (no pun intended!) This was in the HEAVY snow and turned a 4.5 hour journey into 8 hours!!

Thankfully all turned out well and Ben reported that the BRA was "the most comfortable, EVER!"
A quick turnaround saw me driving to Heathrow where we spent the night in a hotel next to the airport,  before making our way across the Atlantic with "The Pilgrim Bandits", an outstanding charity and the only ones to take Ben anywhere :). A few cheeky words from a few of the Pilgrims saw us go into UPPER CLASS at Terminal 5!! FREE FOOD AND ALCOHOL!!

The flight was uneventful and we arrived on Saturday evening. Sunday was an R and R day. And the real business began on Monday!

Ben had 2 excellent instructors; "Fred" who still teaches skiing at 70!!! and "Milty" who is the inventor of the sit chair! wow wow wow!
Ben made his usual excellent inroads into skiing and falling down, both of which he is very good at!
For 3 days we had the superb Sky News team from Washington who did an absolutely FANTASTIC piece on Ben. (go to skynews.com to see the video)... quote of the holiday...FREEDOM!

Thursday to Saturday the weather was worse and the skiing was much more demanding and Ben found it much more challenging, but he kept up with it well and still kept falling over!
At the end of the week Ben closed the ceremony and was a superstar, in fact he had almost all the British army contingent in tears! Pathetic!! ;)

On the way back to the airport we had time to do some shopping (Ben bought lots of shoes!! Always confuses the shop assistant!!) Then first class back to the UK!!

I have to say that I always new this would happen and this is now the start of something MAJOR!!

Keep watching the press for the Aidan and Ben show, you have been warned. More updates coming soon!
